I am still in the mood for using all my UFOs ? as I have huge tons (that is how I feel it) of all things lying in some boxes. A bit few less since the Anniversary. Do I just need to get it done?

I might of a sudden have no room for myself? Thanks to Julia Dunnit I am now able to get my stash sorted. She gave us a challenge for the 11th anniversary.

A powerful day with those numbers for sure.

I was looking at Instagram and found there was a challenge of making portraits in black Art Daily Project. I think I might misunderstand it, as I start to use my Derwent Graphic Pencils instead of painting ? Oh well! I did two portraits and this time it was after a picture. I normally “just” draw from my imagination. I am still rusty, but hopefully, I will develop so they look nicer.

I did finish some cards. The backgrounds on the cards are either with watercolour, acrylic paint or alcoholic ink. Pieces I have had in the box since 2015. I am glad that I finally get it done.

I embossed a few. I stamped a few and gave a little butterfly to fly with on the envelope. All the embellishments are also UFOs and old stamps.

This is also how my desk looked like last night (9th):

Thank you for your visit.

Have a Happy WOYWW!!

  3. Amazing portraits ….as it can be quite hard to get proportions correct. But you have done it brilliantly along with finishing more UFO’s. I have put mine from the anniversary all back in a box for next time.

  7. Hi Mariane, the portraits are detailed, they’re lovely. So many UFO’s completed too, I still have a mountain of them that need finishing, it seems I use a few, then create twice as many more! Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #13 X

  9. Hi Mariane, fabulous portraits – you are very talented, for sure. I cannot draw, I don’t even try anymore. Great job on finishing so many UFOs – I missed the anniversary challenge, but I will set myself a challenge of finishing something this month. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I was very lucky my husband agreed to build me a new craft room. Not so lucky that it is now my home office also, but… it is better that I am still managing to work, others are not so lucky. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #3

  10. Hi Mariane, very nice drawing skills, I find I need a photo to draw from for portraits. That little old lady look very friendly. Yes the UFO idea was a great one to get us to finish things. A belated happy WOYWW Angela #28

  11. Wow Mariane, your pencil drawings are lovely How clever you are! I don’t think it matters to the challenge that they aren’t paint. I can’t take all the credit for your using up UFOs, you’re keeping yourself motivated with them for sure! I must say it’s lovely to see the pieces you’re making, the cards are great, and I love the little butterfly on the envelopes!
